Cutie Angel Dolls |
A new Asian ball jointed doll company, Cutie Angel, has just introduced their dolls to collectors outside of Korea. In the United States, their dolls are now available through the doll retailer Denver Doll Emporium.
Earlier this year, Cutie Angel company representative David Choi approached Denver Dolls owner Paula about carrying the new resin SD and MSD lines the company produced. After seeing the dolls, she agreed to add them to the shop. Paula was impressed with the quality of the dolls at such a reasonable asking price. “What do I like about the dolls…..the first thing that struck me about the dolls is their fresh, sweet look. The resin is excellent quality, I like the face sculpts and I think the painting is above average. These are Korean dolls, but their price is lower than most others. I think these dolls are a bargain, especially for those BJDs collectors who place a high value on quality but doesn’t have a money tree flourishing in their backyard.”
In addition, the company is currently working on developing a clothing line for their BJDs. Paula stated “ I have some samples of the clothing and it is very nice. The styles are rather limited right now but I’m sure this will expand along with the dolls in the future. ”
The company has two doll lines; Blue Angel for 1/3 size dolls, and Red Angel for 1/4 size dolls. The Blue Angel Line includes two 60 cm. tall girl dolls, Mari and Sara. The Red Angel Line features two head styles, each used on a boy’s and a girl’s body. The smaller dolls offered are 43 cm. tall girls Allie and Lucy and 44 cm. tall boys Tori and Youjin.
Company Representative David Choi has graciously answered a few questions about his company, the dolls they have developed, and their plans for the future.
