Resin BJDs have removable coloring on the face. You can remove it and repaint it or pay someone else to color it. The video shows you how you can remove the face-up and re-color it. You must spray the face with the right kind of spray first ( I use Mr Super Clear) or it will be slick and the colors won't stick to the face. You can also add to a face-up already on the doll. You may be able to make the doll look happier! Just spray it when you are done to keep it from rubbing off. Remember, if you don't like your first results, you can always remove the face-up and try again. If you want to use some paint on the face, use acrylic paints.

If you decide you prefer to have it done for you, you can find many talented face-up artists on my company list and on BJD forums.
