Small Business Highlight: Dolly-T’s |
The new company Dolly T’s specializes in white doll t-shirts with slogans and graphics. The company also carries custom doll tote bags, doll jewelry, and other accessories for 7-17″ dolls including tiny and MSD size BJDs. They
plan to carry SD size shirts in the near future. Dolly T’s prefers to use white T-shirts since they do not stain the dolls.
Dolly T’s Owner George Bishop had once helped his wife Nancy make a few custom doll shirts. Not long after, he was offered a professional T-shirt press from someone at less than 1/2 price and impulsively he jumped at the idea.. “I wrote her a check and have been pressing transfers on most anything since.” he said. The website for Dolly T’s was launched a few months ago. George states ” We use several types of printers and professional grade transfer paper to create our ideas. We also purchase readymade transfers from professional design shops from time to time.”
The company has created convention pack giveaway items for Goodreau Dolls LLC at the 2008 Modern Doll Collectors Convention. Dolly T’s also made custom transfers for T’s worn by some of Paulette Goodreau’s little
‘critters’ in advertisements in a national doll magazine.
The company can print custom T’s from original designs. Dolly T’s will create custom transfers for doll shirts, doll tote bags, and other items. The company can also create a transfer from a slogan or other text.
According to George “Depending on the complexity of what you want, we normally can do it in a day or two at most.” They require that the slogan/picture provided is either not copyrighted, registered, or trademarked, or that the person has written permission of the owner, or that they are the design owner. All items currently sold by Dolly T’s that have
registered/trademarked/copyrighted logos are done with full permission of the owners.
Dolly T’s has created human-sized items, and they will eventually offer a link to their other offerings on their doll product site. George doesn’t regret his impulsive equipment purchase. “It’s been a lot of fun, and we have met many wonderful people while doing full and pint-sized shirts and other creations.”

What a wonderful article. I am really impressed with those T’s and probably should ask to have some made for some of my girls and guy. Very professional and so neat to be able to develop your own designs. Nice website and excellent article!
